Family members: I have a mother, father and older brother.

Favorite subject: My favorite subject is calculus because you have to think outside the box to understand the abstract concepts.

Activities: My activities include swimming.

Next steps: After high school, I plan to go to a college where I can study engineering.

Career goals: My dream is to be a Disney Imagineer.

Heroes: I think Benjamin Franklin is my hero, because he had so much freedom in his life, but he used it all just to better his community and our country. He was a true humanitarian.

Hobbies: My hobbies include reading, playing the piano, watching Netflix and eating frozen yogurt.

Current job(s): I was a lifeguard at a summer club pool.

Volunteer/community work: I've coached the high school swim team, volunteered at Farmersville Elementary fundraisers, and am the assistant to a chairperson on the Luminaria Night committee.

Likes: I like any kind of music besides country.

Dislikes: I dislike prejudice.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): I think winning the Rensselaer Medal Scholarship, because I know I worked hard for it and it reflects my interests in math and science.

Advice for peers: Make your own kind of music.
