driver arrested
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Joshua Andrew Smith of Upper Darby, was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly under the influence of alcohol 2:54 a.m. Dec. 13 on Route 100 southbound at Industrial Boulevard, Upper Macungie Township.
Smith was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police say.
This incident remains under investigation.
Driver placed
into custody
Police say Daniel Anthony Palmer, 24, of Tamaqua, was allegedly seenoperating a vehicle 3:02 a.m. Dec. 8 stopped on the shoulder of I- 78, Upper Macungie.
Police allege upon approaching the vehicle Palmer exhibited signs of being under the influence and a field sobriety test was conducted.
Palmer was placed into custody and transported to Lehigh County Central booking Center where a legal blood draw was conducted, police say.
Charges are pending, police say.

for DUI
Khalil Ali Howard, 30, of Allentown, was stopped for an alleged summary traffic violation 2:54 a.m. Dec. 8 on Route 222 at Weilers Road, Upper Macungie Township, police say.
Police say upon investigation Howard was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and drug possession.
Man arrested
for DUI
State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Peter John Rousselle, 44, of Lancaster, was contacted during the investigation of a motor vehicle crash at 12:34 p.m. Nov. 25 on I-78 westbound off ramp to Route 100 south, Upper Macungie Township.
Police allege multiple indicators of intoxication were observed.
Rousselle was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, say police.
Charges will be filed with District Judge Jake Hammond upon the receipt of blood test results.
This incident is pending court proceedings.
Vehicle hits
concrete barrier
Shawn R. Wallace, 24, of Brooklyn, N.Y. was driving a 2003 BMW Z4 westbound on I-78, Upper Macungie Township, around 7:45 a.m. Dec. 1 when he failed to negotiate a left curve, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.
According to police, the car spun counter clockwise before striking the conrete barrier in the middle of the highway with its front end.
Both Wallace and his passenger Roodson Vilssaint, 18, also from Brooklyn, N.Y., who were wearing seat belts, were uninjured, police say.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Wallace was cited for driving too fast for conditions and an additional traffic violation, police say.
