BASD: New board members sworn in

Angela Sinkler, Rogelio Ortiz, Craig Neiman, Michael Faccinetto and Shannon Patrick were recently sworn in as new or returning BASD school board members. Faccinetto and Patrick were elected the new president and vice president of the school board.

Freedom: Cheerleaders spread holiday cheer

Freedom varsity cheerleaders purchased Christmas presents for some BASD elementary students. They shopped for and wrapped more than $700 worth of clothes, hats, gloves, books, and toys. The gifts will be given to needy families.

FHS students Jordana Schaeffer, Priyanka Koti, Greg Wright, and Chris Poczak have made the PMEA District 10 Band and He Lee (Kelsey) Ko made the PMEA District 10 Orchestra.

Freedom: Toy collection

FHS choir students are providing toys to the children in the Lehigh Valley Hospital. To donate new toys or contribute financially to the Freedom Choir Toy, contact jvolpato@beth.k12.pa.us.

Freedom: Swimming-diving fundrasier

Sicily Pizza, 4460 Easton Ave. is sponsoring the FHS Patriot Swimming & Diving team fundraiser now through Jan. 7, 2014. When ordering, mention Patriot Swimming & Diving team and Sicily Pizza, will donate 15 percent to the team.

Liberty: Christmas play canceled

Liberty HS's "A Christmas Carol", which was scheduled for Dec. 14, was canceled.

Marvine: Baby supplies needed

The Marvine Family Center is collecting gently used baby items, which include clothes, supplies, baby food, formula, diapers, wipes and any baby skin care items. Donations can be made at the Marvine Family Center.
