The Catasauqua girls fell to Moravian Academy 34-26 last week in a low-scoring game.

Catty led 6-4 after the first quarter but Moravian came back to take a 10-9 lead at the half before pulling away with a big third quarter to take a 26-16 lead into the fourth.

Shiloh Sziy led the way for the Roughs with nine points in the game, four of those game in the third quarter.

Quinn Bachman helped the Roughs with seven points, which included two three-pointers in the second half. Katie Buczynski added six points, four of which came in the fourth. Amarys Moten and Tori Saruba each had a bucket.

Moravian was led by Kiera Hess who had 12 points, including two threes.

Palmerton got off to a fast start before knocking off Catasauqua 54-31. The Bombers led 15-3 after the first quarter and took a 20-6 advantage into halftime.

Jade Farquhar led the way for Palmerton with 18 points, 10 coming in the second half. Mikayla Krupa chipped in with 12, 10 of which came in the second half for the Bombers.

Catty was led by Katie Buczynski who had 16 points in the loss. The had three threes and much of her damage (14 points) came in the second half. Quinn Bachman added six, Amarys Moten had four and Janae Matos and Shiloh Sziy each had a bucket. Tori Saruba had a free throw.

The girls fell to Pen Argyl 45-24. This time, it was a big fourth quarter by an opponent that helped to put the game away.

Catty tried heading into the fourth quarter 32-23, but the Knights outscored the Roughs 13-2 in the final frame.

Katie Buczynski again led Catty, this time with 10 points. Shiloh Sziy added nine points. Quinn Bachman had a three and Amarys Moten had two points.

Cinelli led the Knights with 21 points, including a 6-for-6 performance at the fou line. She also had three three-pointers.
