There will be a book signing by author and longtime steelworker Frank Behum Sr. from noon to 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Visitor Center, SteelStacks, 711 E. First St. "30 Years Under the Beam" features more than 40 interviews with former Bethlehem Steel workers and superintendents. Copies will be available for purchase.

Inspired by family steelworkers including his father, grandfather and great-grandfathers, the author began working at the Steel in 1965. A union advocate, he was the only man ever to serve as an officer and grievance committeeman in two locals of the United Steelworkers of America.
