Thomas F. Bolasky

Thomas F. Bolasky, 87, of Mac-ungie, died Dec. 5, 2013, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Anne L. (Frye) Bolasky. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in May. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Thomas and Emma H. (Zang) Bolasky.

He was a tool and die maker, machinist and mold maker for B. Braun Medical Inc. of Bethlehem for 15 years, retiring in 2000. Previously he was employed by the former General Electric, Allentown, for 22 years.

He was a graduate of Allentown High School, class of 1945. He received his associate degree in liberal arts from LCCC in 1987.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II

He was a former member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

He served as a council member with the Boy Scouts of America in Macungie.

He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, Civil War history, music, travel and gardening.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Douglas R. and his wife Linda, of Allentown and Dale A., of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Brenda; brothers, James J. and his wife Elaine, of Promised Land, and Richard and his wife Joan, of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Amy M. and her husband Greg Skinner, Katharine A., Emily and her husband Michael Reitnour, Audrey S. and Andrew D.; great-grandchildren, Marielle Grace Skinner and Raegan Crane Reitnour. He was predeceased by a son, David M.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
