Wilbur Roy Reiss, 87, of Coplay, died Dec. 1, 2013, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Edwina Betty (Brobst) Reiss celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last Jan. 18.
Born Oct. 16, 1926, in Friedensville, he was the son of the late Calvin and Blanche (Scholl) Reiss.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a shipper at Prior Coated Metals, Allentown, for 28 years before retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rebecca L. Minnick of Elizabethtown; brother Calvin C. of Allentown; granddaughter Danielle L. Minnick of Lancaster; and great-granddaughter Rebekah Leann Minnick of Lancaster.
His funeral services will be 2 p.m. Dec. 5, at Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road, South Whitehall, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects between 1-2 p.m. Thursday in the church parlor.
Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
