Norman A. Kreitz

Norman A. Kreitz, 94, of Macungie, formerly of Fullerton/Whitehall, died Nov. 8, 2013, in the presence of his family. He was the husband of Eleanor M. (Hersh) Kreitz. They were married for 66 years. He was the son of the late Sylvanus G. and Goldie G. (Geisler) Kreitz.

He worked for 45 years in the Fossil Fuels Department of Pennsylvania Power and Light Company, retiring in 1984.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater, 737th Tank Bn, during World War II.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Whitehall and the Whitehall AARP.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Barbara A. and her husband Wade Haubert, of Hazleton; son, Ronald N. and his wife Lauren, of Macungie; sister, Anna Helfrich, of Media; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey A.; brothers, Kermit and Harlan; infant twin sister, Naomi.
