Alburtis holds 12th annual fall festival

Coordinated by Sherryann Oels, the 12th annual Alburtis Area Community Center fall festival featuring cow pie bingo and a pet festival took place recently at the community center.

Children enjoyed rides, pumpkin decorating and various games outside while vendors sold merchandise and tickets for auctions inside the community center. Mascots from J.P. Mascaro and the Alburtis Community Center also were on hand.

Due to heavy rains the day before the festival, many of the numbers washed off of the cow pie bingo grid outside but Oels had the master grid so when cows left their pies the winners were easily determined.

Michael Stump won first prize, $400; Tony Jackson won second prize, $200; Tod DeLong won third prize, $50; High Performance Cycles won fourth prize, $50 and Rivercats won fifth prize, $50.
