Thomas M. Roeder, 84, of Breinigsville, died on Nov. 17, 2013, at home.

He and his wife Ruth (Bryfogle) Roeder were married 49 years this past June.

Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Jesse and Ruth (Melroy) Roeder.

He was an elementary teacher in East Penn School District for 30 years before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of and a photographer for the Lehigh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.

His true loves were his National Wildlife Federation registered Backyard Wildlife Habitat property, his photography, and his ever improving sound system.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, John of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Alfred of Sunset Beach, N.C.; nieces and nephews, cousins, and his beloved cat Stripey.
