The Catasauqua Garden Club will hold its Christmas celebration noon Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

This year participants will not need to bring silverware or cookies.

Remember to also bring $4 toward the cost of the meal and a few extra dollars for a Meals on Wheels donation.

As a Christmas gift to the club, members should bring along ideas and suggestions for the 2014 programs.

There will be no exhibits for this meeting.

St. Mary's Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will hold its holiday breakfast with Santa Sunday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Photos with Santa will also be available for a fee.

The Catasauqua Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., Catasauqua, will hold a half-price sale on its entire store stock from Black Friday, Nov. 29, until Saturday, Dec. 7.

The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the community programs and services.
