Thomas M. Roeder, 84, of Breinigsville, died Nov. 17, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Ruth (Bryfogle) Roeder for 49 years this past June. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Jesse and Ruth (Melroy) Roeder.

He was an elementary school teacher in the East Penn School District for 30 years, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of and a photographer for Lehigh Chapter/PASR.

His true loves were his National Wildlife Federation registered Backyard Wildlife Habitat property, his photography and his ever-improving sound system.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Sanctuary at Haafsville, 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville, 18031.

He is survived by his wife; brothers, John, of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Alfred, of Sunset Beach, N.C.; nieces and nephews, cousins, and his beloved cat Stripey.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Keller Funeral Homes Inc., Fogelsville.
