Salisbury Police and firefighters from Western Salisbury, Eastern Salisbury and South Whitehall-Cetronia fire departments respond about 2:15 p.m. Nov. 21 to a "structure fire" call dispatched by the Lehigh County 911 Center in the Lehigh Valley Health Network's General Services Building. The fire involved an unauthorized cooking device in a storage room. The building's sprinkler system effectively doused the fire, but firefighters used large fans to ventilate the first floor of smoke and fumes. Salisbury police removed the toaster and will conduct an investigation.
