Fadel Ashmar, 76, of Lower Macungie Township, formerly of Upper Macungie, died Nov. 24, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Rommy "Youmna" Ashmar. They were married for nearly 54 years. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Mohamad and Khadija (Hamade) Ashmar.
He enjoyed retirement after working as a highly-skilled electrician/maintenance technician for many years.
He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Samir and his wife Sharon, Andrew and his wife June; daughters, Haya "Jacqui" and her husband Richard Howells, Marina and her husband Eugene Giovannini, Nawel and her husband Rob Varno, Sabina and her husband Marty Kineen; brother, Hassan; sisters, Samia, Samira, and Fatima; grandchildren, Eddy, Robert, Sarina, Christopher, Domenica, Makala, Franchesca, Vince, Sawyer, Noah, Joshua, Andrew, Maya, Grace and Mason; expecting first great-grandchild, Dante, to be born in December. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Sierra,; brothers, Sami and Samir.
