Gregory J. Piechota

Gregory J. Piechota, 59, of Bath, died Nov. 10, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of Joanne (Hedrick) Piechota for 18 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Stanley Piechota and Mary (Michaels) Piechota of Bethlehem.

He was the owner-operator of Piechota's Hanover Collision and Service Center, Allentown, since 1978. He was a towing specialist for more than 35 years. He also owned and operated American Rental Equipment since 2006 with two locations, Allentown and Lehighton. He owned and operated American Land Care and Piechota's Snow and Ice Control, along with being the area's Western snow plow dealer. He and his wife ran J. Breisch Trucking Company for five years.

He was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem.

He drove modified stock cars at Dorney Park and Evergreen Raceways.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Michael W. Piechota of Allentown; a daughter, Jennifer L. and her husband Carlos Almourani of Allentown; a stepdaughter, Jami R. and her husband Rick Derr Jr. of Coopersburg; a stepson, Brad W. Breisch and his fiancee Lynn Jeffries of St. Clairesville, Ohio; two sisters, Janet and her husband James Fandl of Bethlehem and Joanie and her husband Forrest Voytko of Nazareth; a brother, Mark Piechota of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Dylan, Skyler, and Jordan Piechota, Kaylee Glanz and Nevin Almourani; nieces; and nephews.
