Bethlehem Catholic: Coach/Basket Bingo

Bethlehem Catholic High School will hold a Coach purse/Longaberger basket bingo at 1 p.m. (doors open noon) Nov.17 at the school, . Raffles, door prizes and refreshments available.Tickets available at the door, the school main office or call 610-216-9237. Proceeds benefit the BECAHI girls basketball team.

Notre Dame: Speech and Debate

The Notre Dame Speech and Debate Team competed in the Allentown/Scranton Joint Diocesan Tournament on Nov. 2 at Southern Lehigh HS. The following students won awards: Oral Interpretation: Varsity Division: fourth place, Sara Prager; Student Congress: Varsity Division: second place, Abigail Marone; sixth place, Joseph Wetzel; and in Novice Division: sixth place, Derek McFarland.

Bronwyn Foran qualified in Oral Interpretation.

All Varsity award winners are qualified to compete in the Allentown Diocesan Forensic League National Qualifying Tournament to be held in March.

Joseph Wetzel served as a Presiding Officer in Student Congress.

Swain School: Open House Nov. 20

The Swain School will hold an Admissions Open House for prospective students, preschool (age 3) to eighth grade, at 9 a.m. Nov. 20 at the school, 1100 S. 24th St., Allentown. Head of School Todd Stansbery, current Swain families, and staff will be available to give tours and to provide information.
