Residential burglaries

Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville are investigating several daylight residential burglaries in Lower Macungie Township between Oct. 25 and Oct. 28. Forced entry is made into homes and electronics and jewelry are taken. Police request anyone person who sees any suspicious or unusual vehicles or persons at residences in Lower Macungie Township contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Disorderly conduct

Luis D. Pica-Reyes, 19, of Allentown, was accused of disorderly conduct after he allegedly was seen by a witness interfering with traffic while operating a motor scooter on store property at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, 9:54 p.m. Oct. 12. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Reported at McDonald's, 6479 Village Lane, Lower Macungie Township, an 18-year-old female, of Macungie, a 17-year-old male, of Whitehall, and another male, no age or address given, are suspected of throwing water from a bottle at a drive-thru window and an exterior wall at the restaurant 2:14 p.m. Sept. 23. The investigation continues.

Burglary

Zahirah Yasmin Rana, no age given, of Allentown, is accused of burglary after she allegedly pushed an air conditioning unit through a window to enter a residence in the 4000 block of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, 2:50 a.m. Oct. 20. Once inside, Rana allegedly struck a person at the residence then fled. The investigation continues.

Simple assault

Reported at a residence in the 2700 block of Rolling Green Place, Lower Macungie Township, a 15-year-old male struck a 42-year-old female with a curtain rod 7 p.m. Sept. 30. The investigation continues.

Reported at Camp Olympic, 3050 Cedar Crest Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, an 11-year-old male's shoulder was injured when a relative pulled the boy from a vehicle 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The boy was told several times to get out of the vehicle. The investigation continues.

Underage drinking and drug violations

Brianna Mackey, 18, of Bethlehem, was charged with violation of Act 64, the controlled substances, drugs, device and cosmetics act, after police were called to the 6800 block of Chestnut Hill Church Road, Lower Macungie Township, on reports of underage drinking in the area where police reportedly found drug paraphernalia and empty alcohol containers. A 15-year-old male, of Hellertown, also was charged with violation of Act 64 as well as underage drinking. Also charged with underage drinking were a 15-year-old male, of Hellertown, a 17-year-old female, of Nazareth, a 17-year-old female, of Bethlehem, and a 17-year-old female, of Hellertown. All were released and charges were filed.

Criminal mischief

Reported in the parking lot of 7614 Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 p.m. Oct.16 and 9 a.m. Oct. 17, someone scratched with a key the front and rear passenger doors of a vehicle and damaged the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Retail theft

Vincent Alfred Rotelle, 19, of Collegeville, was cited for retail theft after loss prevention personnel at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, saw Rotelle allegedly conceal an unspecified number of DVDs on his person and leave the store without paying for the dvds as well as a jacket he was found to have. The total value of the items was $133. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

DUI

Zahirah Yasmin Rana, no age given, of Allentown, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on Cedar Crest Boulevard in Emmaus borough 3:15 a.m. Oct. 20.

Deborah Christine Meadows, 45, of Alburtis, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after she was allegedly stopped for traffic violations on State Route 100 at Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:05 a.m. Oct. 20. Meadows was transported to the Lehigh County CBC for processing and a blood draw. Charges are pending in District Court 31-3-02.

A 21-year-old woman, of Bethlehem, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Interstate 78 eastbound at Cedar Crest Boulevard, Salisbury Township, 2:15 a.m. Oct. 19. The woman left her lane of travel in an unsafe manner while traveling in the far left lane, prompting the traffic stop, according to police. The investigation continues.

Harassment

Ryan Schaeffer, no age given, of Coopersburg, was cited for harassment after he allegedly threatened to punch a person on David Drive, Upper Milford Township, Oct. 20.

Theft by unlawful taking

Reported at Budget Store and Lock, 299 Schantz Road, Lower Macungie Township, six locks, valued at about $60, taken sometime between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 19. The investigation continues.

Theft fraud forgery

Reported by a Zionsville woman in the 7300 block of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, an unknown actor attempted to use the woman's credit card to purchase gas and then made a purchase at a convenience store sometime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 5. The investigation continues.

Terroristic threats

Reported by a resident in the 1000 block of Village Round, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown male, described as a black male, between 6 feet and six feet four inches tall and about 230 pounds, with short black hair and wearing a dark colored jumpsuit and white "Jason" style Halloween mask, rang the doorbell and knocked on the door 1:50 a.m. Oct. 27. When the resident answered the door the actor displayed a large knife, pointed and motioned with the knife and made several statements. The man left the area in a green colored sedan with three other males. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Burglary

Reported in the 7800 block of Sweetwood Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors broke into a residence through a basement window and took several items sometime between 12:50 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. Oct. 22. The burglars then fled in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Reported in the 2000 block of Maplewood Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors forced their way into a residence and took various items between 7:25 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. Oct. 25. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-395-1438.

Control of alarm devices

Kohl's department store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, was cited for a fourth false alarm within a consecutive 12-month period 2:59 p.m. Oct. 3.

Theft

Reported in the 5100 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors removed two gas cans and gas sometime between 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Oct. 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610-305-1438.
