There will be an electronics and appliances recycling day with free document shredding (limit 10 boxes per car), from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Hanover Township Municipal Building, 3630 Jacksonville Road.
For a list of items that may be recycled free of charge include desktop / laptop computers (hard drive destruction available for a fee), LED and CRT computer monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, DVD players, VCR's, fax machines, floor copiers, ink and toner cartridges, flat screen LCD tv's (fee for other other tv's-no broken ones accepted), smart boards, gaming systems, stereos, speakers, microwaves, small appliances, projectors, telephones, cell phones, metal items, exercise equipment and filing cabinets.
Some of the items accepted for a fee included washers, dryers, AC units, dehumidifiers, floor freezers, dishwashers and sealed lead acid car batteries.
