Police stopped a man while searching for a burglary suspect Oct. 27 and arrested him on drug charges instead.

According to police, Carlos Vazquez, 28, of Vine Street in Allentown was stopped by officers on Cherokee Street around 9:40 p.m. He gave a false name and was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and paraphernalia.

Vazquez is charged with false ID to law enforcement and possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia.
