Family members: My family includes both of my parents, twin sister, and younger sister.
Favorite subject: English is my favorite subject because of my admiration of books, their authors and the culture surrounding them.
Activities: I am involved in marching, concert, and jazz band; as well as track and field, Reading Team, Girl Scouts and National Honor Society.
Next steps: I plan on attending college in the fall for English.
Career goals: I wish to be employed in the editing/publishing field.
Heroes: John Green, whose young adult novels are as inspiring as his impact in the Internet community through educational videos and charitable organizations.
Hobbies: Outside of other commitments, I enjoy practicing several instruments and reading.
Volunteer/community work: I have been active in my community through National Honor Society and Girl Scouts, such as working with Lions Club and for Relay for Life.
Likes: I find enjoyment in music and books and like surrounding myself with people of these similar passions.
Dislikes: I dislike ignorance and prefer those who focus on education and maintaining open minds.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment is maintaining my GPA in honors classes while being involved in other school and community activities throughout my four years in high school.
Advice for peers: To do the best you have with the talent that is given to you.
