Joyce M. Metzger, 71, of New Tripoli, died Oct. 24, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Marlin L. Metzger celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on March 7.

Born April 20, 1942, in Lynn Township, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Mildred (Loy) Frey.

A secretary at the Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli, for 35 years before retiring in 1995, she was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Pharon L. and his wife, Mary Ann, of New Tripoli; sister Doris Walker of New Tripoli; grandchildren Nicole and Lucas Metzger; and nephews Michael, Randy and Carlton Bleiler.
