Local students serve university

The following students are currently serving Wilkes University in leadership positions.

Kayla Gradwohl of Bath is a freshman electrical engineering major and the freshman class treasurer. Gradwohl serves on the budget, Casino Week and capital projects committees. She is the daughter of David Gradwohl and Linda Leschinger.

Keri Diehl, also of Bath, is a sophomore prepharmacy major and a sophomore class representative. Diehl currently serves on the spirit committee and is a member of Wilkes University's chorus and Relay for Life committees. Diehl is the daughter of Cheryl Diehl.

Ian Foley of Whitehall is a senior political science and communication studies major and the president of the executive board on Wilkes' student government. Foley serves on the elections and traffic committees and the student affairs cabinet. In addition, Foley is a resident assistant, an e-mentor, a member of the programming board, a student ambassador and a member of the homecoming student team as well as being named the 2013 homecoming king. Foley is the son of Karen and Tom Foley.

Michaela Chidiac of Coplay is a freshman prepharmacy major and a freshman class representative. Chidiac serves on the community service committee. In addition, Chidiac is involved in the prepharmacy and Special Olympics clubs. Chidiac is the daughter of Michael and Janene Chidiac.

Cunningham graduates

Abby Cunningham, a resident of North Catasauqua, was among more than 1,080 students from Roger Williams University to receive their degrees during the university's commencement ceremony May 18.

Cunningham received a bachelor of science in biology.
