SALISBURY HAPPENINGS

On Oct. 25, SHS No Place For Hate members hosted an "Orange-out" at the football game against Notre Dame in celebration of Anti-Bullying Month in October. NPFH, which meets during Falcon Period on Day 3, is a group devoted to anti-bullying and anti-prejudice school wide and beyond.

On behalf of NPFH, thank you to Monica Deeb, Zachary Young and others who generously devoted their time to planning for this special showcase.

Impact testing will take place in room 5 at SHS for all students in grades 7 through 12 intending to participate in a winter sport (basketball, swimming, wrestling, cheerleading, rifle) and for those who have not had a baseline test within two years.

Testing lasts approximately 30 minutes and is scheduled for 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30.

Also Oct. 30, the Literary Club will participate in Teen Library Day at Kutztown University. Run by KU's Library Science Department, students will get to meet with Allentown native author Deborah Heilgman, explore behind-the-scenes aspects of the library and tour the campus.

Picture retake day will take place Oct. 31, in the SHS auditorium. Students who wish to get their photos retaken must arrive with their previously taken photos. Seniors who have not yet taken their identification photo must do so on this day.

Salisbury High School Theatre presents "Curtains: The Musical" in the SHS auditorium 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 and 2 p.m. Nov. 10.

Tickets can be purchased from any cast member or at the door prior to the show.

On Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. there will be a Longaberger Basket Bingo to benefit Salisbury twirlers. The bingo event will take place at Salisbury Middle School. Doors open at noon. To order tickets in advance, call 610-791-2722. For more information, visit the Salisbury High School website.
