William F. Follweiler

William F. Follweiler, 82, of Slatington, died suddenly Oct. 15 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He and his wife Rita V. (Yacobenas) Follweiler celebrated 61 years of marriage on March 22.

Born Feb 5. 1931, in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Elwood and Helen (Sittler) Follweiler.

He was a truck driver for 43 years for Phillips Feed and Grain, Germansville, Modern Transfer, Allentown, and Yellow Freight System, Bethlehem and Norristown, until retiring in 1993.

He was a faithful member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonsville, New Tripoli.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, listening to country music and spending time with his family.

He especially liked traveling to Florida during the winter months each year.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Diane R., wife of Ralph Wertman, of New Tripoli, Linda F.,, wife of Jeffrey Trexler of Slatington, Bernice M. wife of Eric Miller, of New Tripoli; son Darrin W. and his wife, Diane of Walnutport; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great- grandchildren and a brother-in-law Richard Yacobenas, at home.

He was predeceased by siblings Faye George and Paul Follweiler.
