Gail A. Horner died on Oct. 17, 2013, surrounded by loved ones.

Born Aug. 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Arlene (Walters) Jones.

She was the loving and devoted wife of Paul Horner.

A 1953 graduate of Slatington High School, she went to beauty school in Allentown to become a hairdresser.

She owned and operated her own beauty shop in Slatedale for more than 50 years.

Her work allowed her time to devote to her No. 1 concern: her family. She could always be seen supporting her children and her grandchildren at various activities, from field hockey to skiing and everything in between.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale, where she participated in various fundraising activities.

In addition to her husband; she is survived by a son, Charles of Schnecks-ville; daughter Jennifer Horner of Kuhns-ville; and grandchildren Lauren and Paige.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
