Northampton Community College

Adams to give L.V. ghosts talk

Charles J. Adams, author of Ghosts of the Lehigh Valley, Berks the Bizarre, Pocono Ghosts, Cape May Ghost Stories, and other books, will talk at a free, open to the public event from 11 a.m. to12:15 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Student Life Zone, second floor, College Center, 3835 Green Pond Road.

A organizer and leader of haunted places tours, he appeared on the History Channel programs Haunted America: Philadelphia and Haunted America: New York. He was a consultant and on-air expert for shows on The Learning Channel, MTV, and The Travel Channel. His most recent television work is a segment on the Eastern State Penitentiary for The Travel Channel's Mysterious Journey series. For information, call 610-861-5300.

Moravian College

Marabella to sign books on Dec. 13

Moravian College professor Santo D. Marabella, M.B.A., D.S.W., has released his first book, "The Practical Prof: Simple Lessons for Anyone Who Works!" The book, which targets working adults, provides lessons on how to succeed and enjoy managing ones self at work or managing the workplace.

Marabella's book signing tour includes a stop on Dec. 13 at the Barnes & Noble Book Store, Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall.

Moller to speak at Sipple Lecture

The free, open to the public Sipple Nursing Lecture will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in Foy Hall. Mary Mollerwill speak on "The Growing Concern about Mental Health Issues in the Nation".

The lecturer is a Yale University School of Nursing associate professor and specialty director for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. She is an advanced practice registered nurse dually certified as a clinical specialist in adult psychiatric-mental health nursing and a psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner.

The Janet A. Sipple Lecture Endowment Fund, which funds the lecture, was created to honor Sipple for her role in establishing The St. Luke's School of Nursing at Moravian College.
