The third annual 100 Yards of Hope event took place prior to the Salisbury High School Homecoming game Oct. 11, a "Pink-Out" event.

People were asked to support breast cancer survivors and honor lost loved ones by purchasing pink ribbons at the Salisbury Football Booster Club apparel sale table. Additionally, the opportunity to honor a loved one in the game program was extended. All proceeds from ribbon sales were donated to the American Cancer Society.

On Oct. 12, SHS students danced the night away to their favorite songs and sported their best formal attire during Homecoming. Court members included senior girls Xena Afif, Aubry Miller, Colette Miller, Amanda Rowlands and Jessica Snyder, and senior boys Luke Chassard, Christopher Dryfoos, Brad Vangeli, Austin Uhl and Austin Watson.

Health Screenings took place Oct. 17 in the SHS nurse's suite. Students had their height, weight and vision checked.

On Oct.19, SHS administered the PSAT test.

On Nov. 2, the Salisbury girls basketball team will host a comedy night starring Keith Anthony at the Salisbury Fire Company #1 8 to 10 p.m. Refreshments and food will be served.
