Operation Christmas Child, a branch of the international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse, seeks volunteers to provide and pack shoe boxes filled with items for children in various countries. Suggested items include school supplies, candy, hygiene items, family photos, notes of encouragement and even shoes. Empty shoe boxes are packed year-round by compassionate individuals, families, schools, churches, civic clubs and other organzations in all 50 states and 14 countries.
