North Catasauqua's Charotin Hose Company responded to the following calls in August.
Fire alarm
Aug. 7, 12:44 p.m.
For the second time in as many days, Charotin personnel responded to the Catasauqua High Rise at 534 Third St., Catasauqua, for an automatic fire alarm, along with the Catasauqua Fire Department. Firefighters found the cause was normal cooking in a fourth-floor apartment.
Smoke detector sounding
Aug. 9, 5:36 p.m.
Firefighters were dispatched to 202 Front St., Catasauqua, with the Catasauqua Fire Department, for a fire alarm sounding. Firefighters determined the alarm was due to a faulty detector.
Fire alarm
Aug. 14, 8:26 a.m.
North Catasauqua personnel responded for an automatic fire alarm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road. Firefighters determined the alarm sounded due to cooking.
