Morell E. "Mickey" Heil, 80, of Northampton, died Oct. 2, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Leona R. (Hoffman) Heil.

Born Feb. 1, 1933, in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Alton H. and Grace E. (Flickinger) Heil.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

A glazier at the former Penn Allen Glass Company, Allentown, from 1966-98, he worked part-time from 1969-98 in the hardware and paint department at Sears in the Whitehall Mall.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall, and a volunteer at Phoebe Home, Allentown, since 2008.

His survivors include children Donna J. Heil, with whom he resided, David J. at home; siblings Carson R. and wife Judy of Trappe, Rodger A. and Violet of Allentown, Shirley L. Greenawalt and husband Herman of Breinigsville, and Phyllis A. Merritt of Phillipsburg, N.J.

He was predeceased by a brother, Milton C.
