Frances A. Bobyak

Frances A. Bobyak, 80, a longtime resident of Fullerton Village and the Oakwood Section of Whitehall, died peacefully Oct. 1, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospice.

She was the widow of Michael J. Bobyak, who died in 2009.

One of 10 children born and raised in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Theresa (Mayer) Bednarcik.

A graduate of Central Catholic High School, she worked in the patisserie at Wegmans market, Tilghman Street, Allentown, for the last eight years.

She previously was a longtime clerk in the Whitehall Township treasurer's office.

A dedicated member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, she was active in the prayer shawl ministry.

An inspiring woman, she was dedicated to many with her ever-present positive outlook.

Fondly known as Mrs. B, she was a wonderful baker and she loved to play cards and participate in the social activities of the Fullerton Village community.

Her survivors include a daughter Monica B. Knapp and her husband, Robert of Breinigsville; son Michael G. and his wife Caroline (Kruk) of Whitehall; granddaughters Victoria and Olivia Bobyak; brother Daniel B. Benarcik and his wife Catherine "Kitty" of Wilmington, Del.; and sister-in-law Vincentine "Vinnie" Bednarcik of Bethlehem, along with a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and caregivers.

She was predeceased by sisters Anna Pramick, Katherine Benarcik, Theresa Bednarcik, infant Maria Benarcik, and brothers John and Paul Bednarcik, Michael D. and Emil Benarcik.
