The Swain School welcomes new staff and teachers

The new school year brings new teachers and staff to The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th Street, Salisbury Township. Pictured are, from left, sitting: Jessica Brans, of Allentown, the new lead teacher for preschool, who has degrees from Kutztown and Wilkes universities; Jennifer Shingles, R.N., of Hellertown, who will run the health office at the school and has 13 years experience in urgent care settings; Stacey Pugh, of Easton, who will teach third grade and is a graduate of Elizabethtown College with 12 years of elementary and middle school experience; Joleen Hanlund, of Bethlehem, who holds an advanced degree in education from City College of New York and is a new kindergarten teacher at the school; Rithika Sesh, of Allentown, who is a kindergarten collaborative teacher and holds degrees from Kutztown and Bloomsburg universities. Pictured, from left, standing: Batool Viqar, of Emmaus, who is a preschool assistant teacher at the school and holds degrees from the University of Karachi in Pakistan and has over 15 years of teaching experience; Kaitlin Long, of Schnecksville, who is a new kindergarten collaborative teacher and is a graduate of the University of Scranton; Bradley Hirsh, of Allentown, who is a graduate of Bard College and has 11 years of teaching experience and will teach middle school history and English and is the new outdoor education coordinator at the school; Caitlin Worrich, of Bethlehem, who is band director and extended care coordinator, holds a music degree from Moravian College and performs in a number of local musical ensembles; and Tammi Lake, of Pottstown, who joins the administrative staff as director of development and holds degrees from from Pennsylvania State and Boston universities.
