Fuller accepts democratic ballot position

Francee E. Fuller of Alburtis, a three-term East Penn School District director, has accepted the democratic ballot position won during the spring primaries by Michael Moxley, who has withdrawn from the general election.

"Four seats are up for election on a nine-member board," Fuller said.

"Prior to the spring primary I learned Ziad Munson and Michael Moxley were interested in running along with incumbents Alan Earnshaw and Rebecca Heid. I formerly worked with Ziad's wife and knew about his interest in supporting educational initiatives and I was familiar with Mike. Having worked closely with both Alan and Rebecca, I developed a deep respect for both. With four board seats in play, I felt it best for the district to have four strong pro-education candidates in the race.

At the conclusion of this term, I will have spent 12 years in service to the district and was content to have other motivated individuals step in. But now, with Michael Moxley's departure I am more than willing to enter the race to do what I can to preserve the quality of education that our district offers."

Fuller noted Emmaus High students outperform Pennsylvania and national averages in verbal, math and writing skills in Scholastic Aptitude Test scores, yet the district spends less on a per-pupil basis than 53 percent of Pennsylvania school districts, according to Pennsylvania Department of Education data.

"We deliver a quality education at a highly effective price. I will work hard to continue this trend.

"Our district creates a place for all students and encourages them to achieve to the best of their abilities. Many students have remarkable talents in academics, the fine and performing arts and athletics. Those talents shine because of the nurturing atmosphere the district creates.

"I deeply believe in public education. Children who have the benefit of a strong educational base have greater earning capacities as adults and will be better able to help provide for society's future needs. I am proud to run with Ziad Munson on the Democratic ballot and also support the candidacies of incumbents Alan Earnshaw and Rebecca Heid," Fuller said.

Fuller is the wife of Scott Stoneback and the mother of Robert and Ellis Stoneback. She is a three-term member of the Joint Operating Committee of Lehigh Career and Technical Institute and joined the board of the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit in 2012.

A founding member of the Friends of the Emmaus Public Library, she is a past president of the organization and currently serves as the publicity chair.

A former president and founder of the Commercial Real Estate Women of the Lehigh Valley, the local chapter of a national organization, she is a past president of the East Penn Chamber of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce..

Fuller is the marketing manager for Barry Isett & Associates, a full service engineering firm headquartered in Allentown and also writes for her husband's company, The Media People, Inc., a full service video production firm.
