A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Saladworks is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, on MacArthur Road, off Schadt Avenue.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the restaurant, formerly the Blockbuster's video store.
The premises have undergone a complete interior makeover and received a fresh coat of paint along with a sign on the exterior building.
Saladworks was set to open earlier in the year but had to wait for PPL to restore power to the building.
This is the second location for Lee and Tara Smith, of Bethlehem, owners of the business. The couple's other location is at 32315 Schoenersville Road, Hanover Township, Northampton County. The first business opened February 2008.
YoFresh Yogurt Cafe should open shortly next to the Whitehall Saladworks.
The township has placed several large planters with flowers at the edge of the parking lot. These planters were earlier placed on a concrete strip in the center of MacArthur Road, on the south sector of MacArthur Road.
Halloween City is also located in the shopping center, in the spot formerly occupied by Staples.
