Frederick B. "Fred" Selig III, 64, of Germansville, and Dushore, Sullivan County, died Sept. 25, 2013, in his home.
He and his wife Diane C. (Hoppes) Selig were married 47 years.
Born Oct. 23, 1948, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederick B. Jr. and Betty J. (Ziegler) Selig.
He owned and operated Selig Electric, Germansville, for 35 years before retiring in January.
A member of the Millview Wesleyan Church, Forksville, Sullivan County, where he was an elder, he was a former member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where he formerly served on the consistory.
He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, New Tripoli, Grand Council 204.
He enjoyed a balanced life fulfilled by hard work, quality time with his family, and enjoying nature and the outdoors at his cabin, especially while snowmobiling and hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Brian F. and his wife, Karen, of Germansville, Matthew B. and his wife, Sherry, of Dushore, Rebecca S. Philbin and her husband, Matthew, of New Tripoli; sister Sheila K. Sloyer and her husband, Raymond, of Schnecks-ville; brother Scott S. and his wife, Debbie, of Blue Bell; and six grandchildren.
