Shaina Palmer gets best time of year

Freedom cross country runner, Shaina Palmer, recorded her best time of the season last week with a 19:32 finish, leading the Patriot girls over Nazareth 22-34 and tying Northampton 29-29.

Liberty's girls also defeated Nazareth 21-35 but lost to Northampton 25-32.

Freedom freshman, Olivia Salerno took second place, and Bridget Tarnowski placed fourth, also for the Patriots.

Liberty's runners rounded out the top ten, as Nikki Nelson finished in fifth place, Raisa Kochmaruk was eighth, Rachel Finn came in ninth, and Julie Vernarr placed tenth.

Bethlehem Catholic's girls lost two last week, falling to Emmaus 19-42 and Central Catholic 23-32.

Kassi Yocco took eighth place and Rowan Pepe finished 12th for the Hawks.

Bethlehem Catholic's boys also lost to Emmaus 20-40 and Central Catholic 27-30.

John Donchez took ninth place, and Trevor Kleckner finished tenth for the Hawks.

Liberty and Freedom's boys scored two victories apiece, as the Hurricanes defeated Nazareth 26-33 and Northampton 20-41, and the Patriots defeated Nazareth 15-46 and Northampton 15-48.

Finishing in first place was Freedom's Ben Ziegler in 16:30, followed by teammate, Jason Lopez, who came in second.

Liberty's Alex Fitch was third, and Freedom's Chris Kelly came in fourth. Will Alpaugh was fifth, and Dan Quigley was sixth, both for the Patriots, and Hurricane runner, Robert Marrero placed tenth.

Freedom's boys are currently 8-0. Liberty's boys are 5-3.
