Five Bethlehem golfers qualified for the District 11 golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 7, at Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton.
Bethlehem Catholic's Nick Maff led the way shooting an 80 at Mahoning Valley Country Club, par-73 on Monday, Sept. 30. Overall it was tied for the sixth-best score of the day.
Liberty's Kevin Zakszeski shot 81 to tie for seventh. Freedom's Tommy Archer was the only Patriot to qualify shooting an 84.
Two more Hawks qualified: JT Barker and Zach Surovy who both shot an 85.
In all, 22 kids qualified on Monday, which didn't include those who qualified for states last year as well as league champs, who are all exempt.
Emmaus' Carlos Fullerton shot 74 and was tied with Northampton's Tyler Smith for lowest round of the day.
