Women are now invited to join the Coplay Lions Club.
The borough organization, which is celebrating 40 years, has also recently launched its annual community fund drive.
The club is known for its annual Super Bowl Sunday breakfast at the Coplay Saengerbund, an event which serves as a fundraiser for its other projects. These include financial support for the Center for Vision Loss of the Lehigh Valley, Beacon Lodge Camp for the blind, and assisting those in need of eye examinations, eye glasses and hearing aides.
Locally, the club donates funds to the Coplay Public Library, Coplay food bank and the Whitehall High School Scholarship Program.
Lions Club funding has also helped fund repairs to Balliet Stadium, maintenance to the veterans memorial monument at Fifth and Hokendauqua streets and caroling throughout the borough.
Anyone interested in joining is asked to contact Lions Club President James Druckenmiller at 610-837-2783.
