Vehicle stolen
in township
Upper Macungie Township police say a 44-year-old man from the 7100 block of Ruppsville Road, reported a 1997 black Dodge Ram pickup and black trailer containing lawn care equipment were allegedly taken sometime between 5:30-8:15 p.m. Sept. 14 from his driveway.
Police say the pickup's registration number is ZBF-4840. The trailer's is XGW-4498.
Police investigate
bomb threat
Police responded around 11:45 a.m. Sept. 18 to the CVS Pharmacy, 5801 Tilghman St., for a phoned-in bomb threat at the store.
Police say the threat came after a caller to the store asked an employee to fill a Green Dot pre-paid credit card over the telephone.
When the employee refused, the caller said he would "blow the store up," police say.
Police responded and cleared the store without incident.
Upper Macungie Township detectives spoke with South Whitehall Township Police, State Police Troop M Fogelsville and the Allentown Police Department regarding similar calls made to pharmacies in their municipalities.
These agencies are sharing information and this incident remains under investigation.
Wheel cover stolen
from vehicle
Police say a gray plastic Ford wheel cover was taken between 9 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 6:45 p.m. the next day from a vehicle parked on the street in front of 332 Susquehanna Trail.
