Mae J. Kistler, 91, of Orefield, formerly from Schnecks-ville, died peacefully Sept. 19, 2013, surrounded by her family, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of the late Homer A. Kistler.
Born March 31, 1922, in Treichlers, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edna (Peters) Clauser.
She was a garment worker for various textile mills, including the former Penn State Mills and Fernbrooke for 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township, and the Fogelsville Senior Citizens.
She enjoyed organizing family excursions, especially to Lancaster, and was an avid follower of current events.
Her survivors include daughters, Marlene M., wife of James R. Whitehead of Lancaster, Doris A., wife of John M. Drabic Sr. of Allentown; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by siblings Ruth Solt, Grace Weiss, Elsie Brobst, Hilda, Marion, Norman and Paul Clauser.
