The Cementon Athletic Park Association's new basketball program is available to all boys and girls in kindergarten through the second grade.

The 2013-14 basketball season will run from the beginning of November to the end of January.

Sign-ups will be held in the Cementon Park meeting room 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 19.

Practices will be held at the Cementon Park building and multiple gyms on the Whitehall-Coplay School District campus. Days and times are to be determined.

Egypt Memorial Park will be holding a fish and chicken fry and its Annual Spooky Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 19. Dinner will be served 5-7 p.m. and the Spooky Fall Fest will take place 7-9 p.m.

Pumpkin painting, a kids safe trick-or-treat and other events will keep the entire family busy. A deejay will provide music. Join family and friends for a great evening at the park.

The Egypt Fire Company will be serving up a spaghetti dinner 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The dinner will take place at the fire hall, located at 4099 Kuhn Lane, Whitehall.
