The Lehigh Valley Independent Schools Fair will highlight the benefits and affordability of an independent school education for children in preschool through 12th grade 2-4:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at DeSales University Center, 2755 Station Ave., Center Valley.
The event is open to the public.
Schools participating include: The Swain School, Allentown; The Hillside School, Macungie; Moravian Academy, Bethlehem; The Perkiomen School, Pennsburg and United Friends School, Quakertown.
Two information sessions featuring national speakers are scheduled:
·"The Benefits of Attending an Independent School" by Janice Crampton, executive director of the Association of Independent School Admission Directors; and
·"How to Afford the Independent School of Your Choice" by Mark Mitchell, vice president of School Information Services, National Association of Independent Schools.
Each session will be 45 minutes long; attend one or both.
Representatives from each school will be available to provide information about their programs, including academic and co-curricular offerings, and the admissions process.
Children are welcome to attend. Reservations are requested, but not required.
