Car accident reported
A motor vehicle accident Sept. 16 in the 200 block of Coplay Street brought police to the scene.
Police said Timothy Wilk, of Hanover, was operating a 2010 box truck south on North Second Street. When he made a right turn onto Coplay Street and began to travel west, his truck clipped an overhead cable wire and pulled it down, police said.
The cable company was notified and repairs were made, police said.
Vehicle scratched
Coplay Police were summoned Sept. 16 to the 200 block of South Second Street for a report of criminal mischief.
A woman told police sometime overnight her 2007 Volkswagen Jetta was scratched from the front to the rear, police said.
The car had been parked on Schreiber Avenue, police said.
Cooking accident sets off fire alarm
A Sept. 17 fire alarm brought borough police and the fire department to 26 S. Front St.
On arrival, police determined the alarm was set off by cooking. The fire department handled the situation accordingly, police said.
