Carlton I. Rauch, 82, formerly of Walbert Avenue, South Whitehall, died Sept. 19, 2013, in Cedarbrook, South Whitehall.
Born Sept. 12, 1931, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Irwin M. and Verna S.E. (Fenstermaker) Rauch.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, achieving the rank of corporal.
He was a material handler for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 1985.
He was a member of Hope United Church of Christ, Allentown, where he was a charter member and head elder.
He served as judge of elections for District 2, South Whitehall Township.
His Masonic affiliations included past master of Lehigh Lodge 326, Macungie; past sovereign prince of Lafayette Council Princes of Jerusalem; past president of the Lehigh Shrine Club and past grand of Tall Cedars, both in Allentown; past president of Bulldog Craftsmen's Club; past president, treasurer and sergeant at arms of the Lehigh Valley High Twelve Club 493; member of the Rajah Shrine, Reading; the Lehigh Consistory (Valley of Allentown) and the Royal Order of Scotland.
His survivors include a sister, Phyllis M., wife of John E. Rothermel, of Allentown; and one niece.
