Zion Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road, Kreidersville, will hold a fall basket social Oct. 25-27.

Hours are Friday, 5:30-8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Approximately 80 baskets and gift cards will be featured.

St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 8142 Valley View Road, East Allen Township, will hold a Vera Bradley purse bingo Saturday, Oct. 5.

Doors open at noon.

A ticket is good for 20 games of bingo.

The Gov. Wolf Historical Society will host a meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the campus, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township.

Steve Hilberg will present a display and talk on early types of lighting, from colonial times to the invention of the electric light bulb. Members and guests are encouraged to bring any unique or unusual types of lighting from their collections.

The talk is free and open to the public.

On Dec. 7, the society will hold its 33rd annual Christmas house tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. As always, there will also be a craft display and sale on the society's campus during the tour.
