North Catasauqua's Charotin Hose Company responded to the following calls in July.
Apartment fire
July 1, 4:19 p.m.
Engine 4311 responded with the Northampton Fire Department and Northampton Regional EMS for an apartment building fire at the 1700 block of Main Street in Northampton Borough. Northampton County 9-1-1 initially dispatched a fire alarm but upgraded the assignment with reports of smoke in the building.
Firefighters arrived on location and determine the cause to burned food.
EMS assist
July 5, 10:08 a.m.
Engine 1871 responded with Northampton Regional Medic July 5 to a report of an unconscious person in the 1400 block of Main Street.
Automatic fire alarm
July 5, 12:06 p.m.
Engine 1811 responded with Station 2 to an automatic fire alarm in the 300 block of Wood Street.
Wire and transformer fire
July 8, 3:16 a.m.
Engine 4311 responded to Howertown Road in Northampton Borough for a wire and transformer fire. The engine established a perimeter and stood by until PPL arrived on the scene.
Dwelling fire
July 10, 11:05 a.m.
Engine 4311 and Attack 4341 responded with Northampton Fire 42, Allen Township Fire 45 and Northampton Regional EMS for a dwelling fire in the 1400 block of Canal Street in Northampton Borough. The caller reported an odor of something burning in the residence.
Firefighters checked the building and found nothing of concern. There was no apparent odor, no smoke or high heat, and no carbon monoxide. Units cleared the scene and turned the property back to the occupant.
