The volunteers of Western Salisbury Fire Department will host their fifth annual Community Day for residents of the township 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21, at the department's Swain Station and the adjacent Green Acres Park, along Green Acres Drive at Ott St. The event will feature games for youngsters, demonstrations of fire department equipment, free food and a visit from Balloons the Clown. Salisbury Police officers will be on hand to provide fingerprint identification cards for parents of young children.
