Remember, the Lehigh Township Historical Museum in Pennsville is open 1-4 p.m. Sept. 22.
It is also open Oct. 27 and this will be the last open house of the 2013 season.
The cool weather is a great lead in to the society's annual fall mum sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. Any mums not sold on Saturday will be sold 1-4 p.m. Sept. 22.
The society will offer an assortment of varieties and colors to choose from. Prices will be the same as 2011 and 2012. Remember to come early for the best selection
A bake sale will take place in conjunction with the mum sale. A couple of members are going to make hot dogs, too, so come for lunch and buy your mums in one trip.
The Lehigh Township Historical Society regular monthly meeting is held on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. for anyone interested in joining. Anyone who is interested in history is welcome. Volunteers are welcome anytime. If you have some spare time and have special talents, you could be of use.

Mark your calendar for a presentation by the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company members 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Indianland, 787 Almond Road, Lehigh Township.
Following the program, light refreshments will be served.
Come out and learn how people volunteer their time in Lehigh Township and surrounding communities.
St. Paul's Schoolhouse nearby will also be open at that time.

The Indianland Garden Club will sponsor a bus trip to Longwood Gardens on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The bus will leave the Hope Lutheran Church parking lot in Cherryville at 11 a.m. and leave Longwood Gardens at 7 p.m., returning to the church parking lot at approximately 9 p.m.
A deposit is required with your reservation. Payment is due by Nov. 1.
Join the garden club members and take in the beauty of Longwood Gardens and the Observatory at holiday time.
