Gisela Herrmann, 76, of Allentown, died Sept. 4, 2013, at home with her family by her side.

She and her husband Hans P. Herrmann celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary May 30.

Born in Unteradling, Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Johan and Maria (Schanta) Kovacs.

She worked at Holy Family Manor for 10 years before retiring in 2002.

Prior to that, she was a seamstress for the former Schneider Manufacturing, Allentown, for 40 years.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown.

A member of the Coplay Saegerbund, she sang with the choir.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Michael and John of Allentown; sister, Marie, wife of Ewald Sodke of Coopersburg; granddaughters Ashley of Bethlehem and Mary Elizabeth of Allentown.

She was predeceased by a son, Thomas, in 2010.
