The Borough of Northampton will continue to play a large role in this year's annual Jack Frost Parade.
At last Thursday's council meeting, borough Manager Gene Zarayko briefed council on the makeup of the musical groups that will perform during the parade sponsored by the Northampton Exchange Club.
The borough annually provides the bands along with a police presence and street sweeping once the parade concludes.
Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24, beginning at 7 p.m., the Celtic United Pipes and Drums, the Allentown All-Most Marching Band and the Wind Gap Blue Eagles Senior Drum Corps will perform. The Lehigh Valley Italian-American Band, which the borough sponsored in previous years, is not included in the 2013 parade lineup.
The borough will also have a van driving council members during the parade.
The rain date is Thursday, Oct. 31.
